GREAT NEWS!

All tests were clear and my report was good! AND, my doctor has "graduated" me to only having checkups every 4 months now--and major tests only every 8 months. (yay!)

Thank you so much for your continued thoughts and prayers. They mean so much to me and have helped us through this experience.

PS: Last night I had a lovely dinner with Alma. Some of you may remember Alma--my "angel" who I met when I first came to MD Anderson. She is a medical technician in the radiology department at MD and is originally from the Valley, too. Alma is an incredibly inspiring person who was diagnosed with not only ovarian cancer, but also with a sarcoma, when she was just 19 years old. She went through much of what I did, in addition to much more (including the amputation of her right leg when the sarcoma metastisized). She has overcome so much and accomplished incredible things, all with such a positive attitude. It was great to get to visit with her and soak up some of her positive vibes!

1-YEAR CHECKUP!

Hello, dear friends!

Just a quick update to let you know that I am currently in Houston for my ONE-YEAR CHECK UP! Can you believe it's been a whole year?!

Today was a day full of poking, prodding, and testing and I am exhausted. My system did not like the barium and iodine I was given, so I am not feeling so good at present.

I will receive results from my doctor on Monday afternoon. Until then, we wait. I'm not at all worried about the results, but I sure can't wait to tell you the good news on Monday!!
