Check-up...
I had my check-up today at MD Anderson. Everything still looks good and I continue to be in remission. In November, I will go back for my one-year evaluation and more testing and my doctor should move me to a different followup plan. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers today. I certainly felt them!

My Lasagna Lesson
This weekend I had the wonderful opportunity of becoming a student of my grandma's authentic Italian cooking. I have grown up enjoying her delicious cooking. Her spagetti and lasagna are like no other and I wouldn't dream of ordering either one in a restaurant because they would be no match for hers!

My Aunt Lyn and I were stoked to learn her recipe. Not only were we able to watch her prepare the lasagna, but we got to take over! (Under close supervision and scrutiny, of course!)

We made two lasgnas to celebrate my parents 30th anniversary. We had a nice dinner for 10 family members and my aunt and I were so excited for people to try OUR lasagna; we particularly were anxious to hear Grandma's opinion. We had all sat down to dinner and were awaiting Grandma to taste it and give us our grade.

When she finally had taken the first bite, my aunt asked her opinion:

"Mom, how do you pronounce it??"
.
Without missing a beat, she replied:

"LUH-SAWN-YAW!"
